The first clean energy UHVDC transmission project in China
Recently, in sunjiabian village, Yongle Town, Zhen'an County, Shangluo City, the ± 800 kV HVDC project from Qinghai to Henan Province has crossed the Qinling section of Shaanxi Province and entered the final rush period of stringing construction, which is about to be completed.
The environmental protection and epidemic prevention measures at the construction site are strict. Boda pullers and tensioners equipment are booming. The construction personnel are busy with the wire crimping and spreading operations. Towers are standing on the top of the mountain.
According to Yang Xiaodong, deputy project manager of State Grid Sichuan electric power transmission and Transformation Construction Co., Ltd., 85% of the work load of the main body has been completed in Shaanxi bid section 5 of Qinghe line. At present, the last stringing process is under way. The completion of stringing means that the last and most difficult procedure of Qinghe line is completed
It is understood that the ± 800 kV HVDC project from Qinghai to Henan is the first UHV channel specially built for the export of clean energy in China.
The project starts from Hainan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture of Qinghai Province, passes through Qinghai, Gansu, Shaanxi and Henan provinces, and ends in Xincai County, Zhumadian, Henan Province. The total length of the whole line is 1587 kilometers, with a total investment of 22.6 billion yuan. The total project is planned to be completed by the end of June 2020, and it is estimated that 40 billion kilowatt hours of power can be delivered to central China every year.
